Our Professional Point Nose Bit is ideal for a wide range of precision routing and engraving applications. Designed for clean, accurate results, it performs exceptionally well across the most common materials found in British carpentry and joinery workshops, including softwood, hardwood, MDF, birch plywood, poplar plywood, oak, ash, beech, and veneered boards.
This cutter is particularly well suited to beaded shaker doors, where accuracy and consistency are critical. The smaller sizes in this range are perfectly proportioned to create a refined beaded detail on the inside edge of shaker door frames - as shown in the image, delivering a clean, traditional profile with excellent repeatability. This makes the bit a reliable choice for cabinet makers and furniture manufacturers looking to achieve a high-quality, professional finish.
Manufactured for precision and durability, our Professional Point Nose Bit delivers smooth cutting action, crisp detail, and excellent tool life when used with appropriate feeds and speeds. Upon ordering this tool, our team will contact you to discuss the materials you intend to cut and the machine you are using. Using this information, we will create bespoke cutting graphs and charts tailored specifically to your setup, providing optimal spindle speeds, feed rates, and pass depths. All guidance we provide is fully customised to you and your application — nothing is generic.
The tool angle can be implemented into the system using the following formula: the tool angle is equal to the tool’s radius.
