Our single flute down-cut cutter is the go-to choice for anyone running lower-power CNC systems — especially smaller belt/screw-driven machines where spindles top out around the mid-single-digit thousands RPM. It delivers the same clean, tear-free top surface finish as a dual-flute, but with significantly lower load on the motor and drive system, meaning smoother cuts and less stress on machines like the WorkBee family, LEAD/QUEENBEE style builds, hobby gantries, and other desktop/garage routers often paired with modest fixed or trim spindles.

Perfect for profiling and finishing on all the popular furniture boards and workshop woods — from MDF, melamine-faced chipboard and plywood to classic British timbers like oak, ash, beech, poplar, softwoods & many more. The down-cut geometry pushes chips down for excellent top face quality while controlling chip loads on lighter setups. Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return is the result of our error, such as receiving an incorrect or defective item. After 60 days, refunds or store credit may be offered at our discretion.

Personalised feeds and speeds are available with every tool.

Check your inbox and junk mail. Our introductory email is sent approximately five minutes after your order is confirmed and may have landed there instead.

Reply to the email with as much detail as possible about your CNC machine, spindle speed, tool size and the materials you intend to cut. Our applications team will then help you establish suitable feeds, speeds and depths per pass to the best of our ability.

Personalised Feeds & Speeds

Every cutter purchased includes free personalised feeds and speeds from our in-house CNC applications team. The above is a graph we made for a client that ordered a range of compression cutter sizes.

Simply reply to the automated email sent five minutes after ordering with a few details about your setup, including your machine model, spindle RPM, material, and order number. We'll send back recommended feed rates, plunge rates, and maximum depths per pass, all tailored specifically to your setup.

We'll provide feeds and speeds for as many materials as you need, and you're welcome to ask as often as you like. We're here to help. Our goal is to get you cutting confidently from your very first job while helping maximise tool life, improve finish quality, and get the most from every cutter.
