Snap-Resistant 1F Up Cutter That Lasts
Desigend for long-term plastic, wood and aluminum cutting.
Details
Check out our Micro Grain Solid Carbide Single Flute Up Cutter, built to outlast all alternatives on the market, a claim we've tested meticulously to back up. Available in a range of sizes.
What is Micro-Grain Solid Carbide?
Micrograin solid carbide uses carbide grains down to 0.5 to 0.8 microns, versus 2 to 5 microns in standard carbide. Finer grain means a harder edge without the usual loss in toughness, so it resists chipping and heat softening under load. Result: the edge stays sharp and accurate far longer, especially when compared to standard solid carbide bits.
These single flute up cutters are built for CNC and router applications requiring high feed rates and clean cuts. They work great across all plastics, aluminiums and wood sheet materials, leaving consistent clean cuts.

Used to snap single flute bits all the time. These are far more rigid and last ages, the feed and speed support helps for sure.
Last ages on plastics, honestly a grerat bit for a load of materials: plastics, woods, and ally.
Feed and Speed support is class and delivery is rapid.
Great company, great bits thaty last a extended amount of time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, this works on any 3 axis CNC router, since it's shank compatibility and spindle spec that matter, not the machine brand — runs fine on Shopbot, AXYZ, Multicam, X Carve, Inventables, Avid CNC, CNC Shark, Legacy Woodworking, Onefinity, Camaster, Laguna, SCM, Morbidelli and Biesse, and as long as the shank diameter matches your collet, it will run on any of these.
Yes, works with all ER32 collets, and ER11, ER16, ER20 too — as long as the collet size matches the shank diameter of the bit, it'll clamp and run fine regardless of which ER series your machine uses.
Handles aluminium across the board, for softer grades like 6061, this bit alone gets the job done. For harder grades, pair it with our two flute up cutter for a cleaner cut and longer edge life.

If it can cut Corian, acrylic and plastic are easy.
Footage of our single flute up cutter cutting Corian. Single-flute geometry evacuates chips fast, keeping the cut cool and the finish clean.
Same cutter handles plastics, aluminium, and wood. Fast chip evacuation means a cooler cut, better finish, and longer tool life.
Micro-Grain Solid Carbide™
Micro-Grain Solid Carbide™ holds a sharper edge under continuous, strenuous cutting. That translates straight to the cut: on plastic and acrylic, material shears away cleanly instead of melting and re-welding to the flute.
The same fine grain structure makes the edge more resistant to snapping and micro-fracturing, so it keeps its sharpness for longer, even under the tougher chip load aluminium throws at a tool. Same edge, same performance, one more material added to the list.
Personalised Feeds & Speeds
Every cutter purchased includes free personalised feeds and speeds from our in-house CNC applications team. The above is a graph we made for a client that ordered a range of compression cutter sizes.
Simply reply to the automated email sent five minutes after ordering with a few details about your setup, including your machine model, spindle RPM, material, and order number. We'll send back recommended feed rates, plunge rates, and maximum depths per pass, all tailored specifically to your setup.
We'll provide feeds and speeds for as many materials as you need, and you're welcome to ask as often as you like. We're here to help. Our goal is to get you cutting confidently from your very first job while helping maximise tool life, improve finish quality, and get the most from every cutter.
