Our reinforced Two Flute Up & Down Compression Cutter is a high-performance CNC routing tool designed for chip-free cutting in wood-based materials. Built with reinforced tool geometry, it offers greater rigidity, improved stability, and longer tool life than a standard compression cutter.

The two-flute design delivers a smooth, stable cut with efficient chip evacuation. Its compression geometry combines an up-cut at the lower section with a down-cut at the upper section, compressing the material from both sides to reduce tear-out on both the top and bottom edges. This makes it ideal for laminated, veneered, and sheet materials where edge quality is critical.

Compared with a standard compression cutter, the reinforced design allows for faster feed rates, deeper cutting, and improved durability, making it an excellent choice for heavier-duty machining and consistent production performance.

With every purchase, we provide fully bespoke cutting parameter graphs, including feed rates, spindle speeds, and pass depths, tailored to your material and CNC machine. These recommendations help you achieve the best possible finish, safe operation, and maximum tool life.

Personalised feeds and speeds are available with every tool.

Check your inbox and junk mail. Our introductory email is sent approximately five minutes after your order is confirmed and may have landed there instead.

Reply to the email with as much detail as possible about your CNC machine, spindle speed, tool size and the materials you intend to cut. Our applications team will then help you establish suitable feeds, speeds and depths per pass to the best of our ability.

Personalised Feeds & Speeds

Every cutter purchased includes free personalised feeds and speeds from our in-house CNC applications team. The above is a graph we made for a client that ordered a range of compression cutter sizes.

Simply reply to the automated email sent five minutes after ordering with a few details about your setup, including your machine model, spindle RPM, material, and order number. We'll send back recommended feed rates, plunge rates, and maximum depths per pass, all tailored specifically to your setup.

We'll provide feeds and speeds for as many materials as you need, and you're welcome to ask as often as you like. We're here to help. Our goal is to get you cutting confidently from your very first job while helping maximise tool life, improve finish quality, and get the most from every cutter.
